INFO

For two days, world-renowned performance powerhouse Cirque du Soleil will give students, faculty, and staff from Chapman and surrounding schools the opportunity to interface with their artisans, technicians, and partner companies through a unique series of master classes seen only at Chapman. Classes will cover a wide range of topics including: a variety of dance master classes, stage management, production management, automation, rigging, lighting, projections, carpentry, props, audio, wardrobe, makeup, wigs, and more. Many Cirque du Soleil industry partners will also be on site to demonstrate their cutting edge technology and to offer hands-on classes. The symposium will also feature a private screening of the “Nerve Center KA” including a Q&A with all of the Cirque du Soleil instructors.

Schedule

A total of 6 class sessions will be offered. Each class session will offer 5-6 different master classes to choose from. Each class session is on a first come, first served basis with the exception of “Own Piece” and “Dance Mock Audition”. UPDATE: Own Piece is now full and closed. The Dance Mock Audition is by invitation only. If you are interested in participating in the Dance Mock Audition, please contact Alicia Guy at aguy@chapman.edu.
